Today’s Hindi idiom (मुहावरा) is:

गुड़ गोबर करना।

(Transliteration: Gudd Gobar Karna.)

Literal translation: To make cow-dung of jaggery.

Is this Gudd or Gobar?

Figurative meaning: To ruin a good thing. To spoil a good plan.

Usage in a sample sentence:

राजेश और मेरे बीच सब ठीक चल रहा था और इसी महीने हमारी सगाई होनी थी, फिर बिंदू हमारे बीच आयी और उसने सब गुड़ गोबर कर दिया।

(Transliteration: Rajesh aur mere beech sab tthik chal raha tha aur issi mahine hamari sagaai honi thi, fir Bindu hamare beech aayi aur usne sab gudd gobar kar diya.)

Translation: Everything was going well between Rajesh and me and we were supposed to get engaged this month, then Bindu came between us and spoiled everything.
